She recently graduated with a First Class Honours from the RNCM, where she studied with Jenny Galloway and Jonathan Small. Since graduating from the RNCM, Hannah has played with the BBC Philharmonic and was also offered places on the Hallé and Opera North Professional Experience Schemes during her studies. Hannah is also passionate about Women in Music, and is a co-director of EMPOWER; an organisation showcasing and championing women in music and the arts annually in celebration of International Women’s Day.

Nathan recently received a Graduate Diploma from the RNCM and now works in the Programming Team at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. In the summer of 2021, whilst studying at RNCM, Nathan graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class Undergraduate Degree in Music (Honours) as part of the RNCM and University’s ‘Joint Course’. Nathan’s central passion is new music, with a view to create new commissions and collaborations through ensembles he has founded such as Northern Reeds and the Aaben Duo.

Chris is a first class graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, and is currently continuing his studies as a Masters student at the college. He has studied under the tutelage of Lynsey Marsh, Gabor Varga, Matthew Hunt, Sergio Castello Lopez, Rosa Campos Fernandez and Katherine Lacy. Chris enjoys playing a vast range of music with a variety of ensembles across the country, including the Hallé, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic and Opera North. As of 2023, Chris has been performing on cruise voyages around the globe with his clarinet & piano duo partner Tyler Hay. Alongside his playing, Chris teaches woodwinds across Manchester and runs a busy woodwind repair workshop.

Beth is a recent graduate from the RNCM. Having studied bass clarinet with Sarah Watts and Ausias Garrigos, she has grown a love for the instrument and its unique qualities. Beth has enjoyed playing bass clarinet in a number of groups such as Northern Reeds, Ark Ensemble and the RNCM Symphony Orchestra. Aside from playing the bass clarin

Aside from playing the bass clarinet, her other interests lie with education and outreach projects, working with many children in the North West. Beth is now a primary school teacher and enjoys bringing her love of music to children on a daily basis.

Alice is a recent graduate of the RNCM and is very grateful to have been supported through her studies with a scholarship from the Dolly Knowles Trust. When she’s not playing with Northern Reeds, Alice is involved in lots of music education. She is the coordinator of RNCM Young Bassoons and is currently studying for a PGCE in secondary music. When she’s not playing the bassoon, Alice loves drinking hot chocolate and visiting hidden cosy cafes in Manchester.
